Thank you so much!!!
The cat’s out of the bag!! I’m so excited that I can finally announce this and shout it from the rooftops: I’M GOING TO BE A PUBLISHED AUTHOR! My debut middle grade novel, TINY PURPLE THREADS will be coming out with Lerner in Fall of 2027.
I cannot wait to share more of Sophie’s story!!
AHHHH! My face!!! 🤯🥹💜
If anyone’s wondering how job hunting is going right now, I just had to take a timed math test while applying for a job that has nothing to do with math. 😵💫😵💫😵💫
My daughter just told me she was on the “ipoligoo” of her book, and it took me a minute to realize she meant Epilogue.
And from now on, I will only refer to it as the ipoligoo.
It just makes sense.
When life gives you lemons…
throw them in the compost and go buy yourself a book.
Me: is afraid to be alone in my house at night because of the ghosts
Also me: reads this book at night 😬😬😬
Last night I leveled up my reoccurring dream of heading into a HS final without having gone to class all semester.
Last night, I dreamt I was a college professor and had not yet uploaded the final exam when students were supposed to start taking it 😆
At least my stress is growing up.
We’ve lived in our house for almost 5 years and have never seen a fox.
I’m currently reading a book where the MC keeps seeing a silver fox, and guess what I’ve seen trotting around the yard 3x in the past week?
You guessed it. Not silver, but a beauty nonetheless.
BUT WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
Resist resist resist. Standing with AABB and the rest of these organizations AGAINST this tyranny and censorship.
I’m currently reading a book pubbed in ‘93, and it has SO MANY !! And ellipses.
They are so distracting and it’s taking away from the story for sure!
Earthquake in New England!! 4.1 from York, Maine that shook our house way down here in MA. Who else felt it??
Just like an audiobook narrator can ruin a book for me (😬), they can enhance it as well.
I’m 25% through the My Lady Jane audiobook and the narrator, Katherine Kellgren is so hilarious and talented, I feel like I’m watching it on stage.
The book is incredible. And the narration is *chef’s kiss*
What—and I mean this with zero respect for those who made this decision—the f*ck.
100% this!! All of mine are in a folder titled NFNMFL. Not for now, maybe for later 🙃
Exactly!! If I hadn’t written those 500 words today, I might not have come to the realization I did about the story and how it needs to move forward. Even though they won’t stay, they are crucial!
This morning I had 1 hour to write.
I only wrote about 500 words. Later, I changed my mind about something, meaning I’ll probably delete it all.
But it’s not a loss. It’s the evolution of the story.
Not every writing session will be perfect, but all are important successes in their own way.
I love when I write some notes for my revision in my phone, some in (multiple) docs on my computer (all with similar titles), and some in random notebooks, and then spend all of my writing time searching for the notes I need.

Do you want another look at your MG query package? Sure you do!! And I’d love to be the one to take a look!
Crow Parent: Did you know that crows hold grudges against specific humans for up to 17 years? You too can be this amazingly petty.

I love the stage version but OH MY LAWD is the movie perfection. I cry every time I think about it.
Hey y’all! I'm Saribel Pages, a literary agent at Gallt and Zacker Literary Agency! After all this time and on the precipice of opening up to queries soon(!) I wanted to make a thread to give some info about me, my wishlist, how to submit, all that good stuff
Hey guys I know it's really hard to be conscious of your health right now so please remember that after every hour in the fetal position you should stand up and banshee scream for at least 5 minutes to stretch out your lower back
Can I just take a minute to celebrate the #kidlit community here on Bluesky. Children’s book people weren’t just early adopters, they stayed. They stayed, and organized, and remained engaged, even back when it was quiet. They kept the fire burning until the sunrise.
I see you #kidlit.
💙❤️
What’s your favorite craft book, #kidlit authors? I just finished Refuse To Be Done by Matt Bell, and absolutely loved it.
At his advice, I’m starting my detailed outline before a necessary rewrite, and have new excitement for something that felt daunting and overwhelming just days ago.
I'm in the early stages of working on a starter pack for #writers and #authors who either currently work in or have worked in #STEM fields. If this is you (any genre or age range of writing) hit me up so I can add you.

More and more I see that women are knowing themselves, loving themselves, and speaking up. And we’re not being “empowered” to do this — empowerment implies an empowerer. We’re emerging. Emerging acknowledges that we have always had the power within ourselves to become who we’re meant to be✨
