Fully agree. I was so burned by the mid to end of GoT. Writers just openly admitting they gave up & started throwing stuff at the wall, SA for shock value etc… I wanted out. HotD exists to show off dragon CGI but still take it at face value. AKOTSK just feels really different. It’s really good!
