He blocked me too for having a different opinion. @alexbozikovic.bsky.social is too obtuse to realize that blocking followers simply reduces the amplification of your own posts. Kind of a stupid thing to do when your livelihood depends on having readers! Here π he is reacting to another POV...
I love watching the T.O. lefties melting down about this - the same folks that cheered on Daley illegally bulldozing Chicago's Meigs Field in the middle of the night, disregarding democracy & the rule of law like a tin-pot dictator. Oh, but how DARE Ford use his legal powers here. #topoli #onpoli
Why would they? A government agency running a bike share program is anathema to the operation of a "free market".
You were warned. #instablock
Ad hominems in response to heterodox views, despite the fact that mavericks are responsible for the history of scientific advancement. Suggest you show some more respect for other POVs or I'll have to block you.

You know that there was a climate before our modern world started recording temperatures, right? Arizona temps only started being recorded around the mid 1870s. Is ignorance and obtuseness your milieu?
105 is in the normal range of temp variability for Phoenix, and climate has never been static on this planet. Anything else, cultist?
Thanks, Mullah.

In the real world, urban environments suffer all sorts of increasing social ills & diseconomies of scale as they get bigger & denser π. But, sure, ignore facts & just blame everything on the suburbs because you want everyone to live in pods. π€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ

Belief perseverance is a terrible thing...
I am making a descriptive statement, not a prescriptive one. The choice to live in dense urban environments results in a populace that is more highly exposed to microplastics concentrations in water and air from all sources. This choice comes with its own health and environmental consequences.
But this was about microplastics anyway, not carbon footprint. a
And it's precisely the density that leads to higher exposure in water and air, on average, to each resident. (2/2)
Lower carbon footprint is debatable since it's all about attribution assumptions. Attribute all goods (incl food) and services that must travel to urban centres, plus all embedded carbon in hard urban surfaces and structures, and the carbon footprint looks terrible vs exurbs and rural. (1/2)

The true costs of densification, to health and environment, aren't reflected in the cost of living in cities π. A progressive income tax system that also considers density of municipal residency would address this negative externality.

The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust & sweat & blood, who strives valiantly, who errs & comes up short again & again, because there is no effort without error or shortcoming, but who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions, who (2/3)

I see pundits & journalismists/storytellers trying their best today to find something to criticize because "Orange Man bad". I say:
