I painted this when Russia first invaded the Ukraine. It’s the Ukrainian trident painted w/ flowers to represent their floral crowns. A painting meant to combine their of strength & culture. Today, I continue to stand with Ukraine in their fight for democracy and their sovereignty.

I haven’t painted in months—since my mom went on hospice. And then, she passed away at the end of January, and I haven’t been able to bring myself to pick up the paintbrush still. I know I need to. I have a show coming up in April, but it is just so hard to get motivated. #art #grief

We used to live in Colorado, and there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t miss it there.

I really struggle to paint or draw people. In other words, I haven’t been able to do it. I made a goal to work on people as a subject last year, but didn’t really follow through much. One painting that didn’t really satisfy me. Maybe this year will be the year to try it again.
