The Incredibles
I never look back darling. It distracts from the now.
The three weeks I spent (redoing what the company employed by the publisher proposed for an index) indexing my first book were the worst of my professional life. And yet, I’ll do it again because that is often where I look in any book. This is inexcusable. Should
have its own circle of hell.
Wow. Who’d have guessed? Many more questions then, but I guess I’ll have to wait for the book. Thanks!
I wonder how common it was. And was it typical to some sports more than others?
The decline of civilisation indeed
letters of marque and reprisal!
Loved it! Bought way over budget…
New Publication! 🎉
We're happy to share Dr. Tom Eshed's new article just published in the Journal of Israeli History: "Locus standi: the question of Israel's public response to antisemitic incidents in early Israeli diplomacy, 1950–1960"!

Behind on my reading, academic and non, but PMSL at Starter Villain ATM. Can’t wait to get to these two 2-3 years down the line!
Research took more than 2 years, but… The review process took 6 weeks(!); editorial responses were immediate; production was super-fast and impeccably precise. By now, it has more than 360 views. Many reasons to be grateful.
Four weeks ago, my latest article on corporal punishment and Jewish negotiation of whiteness in pre-apartheid South Africa was published in the Journal of Imperial and Commonwealth History: www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....

🎓 Congratulations to Asaf Segal Doron on completing his M.A.! His excellent thesis, “Between Tradition and Modernity: Equality Before the Law at the 1861 Hungarian High Judge Conference”, explores nineteenth-century debates on legal equality. Well done, Asaf!
