Thanks Ede! We still envy precise spike timing though 😂
A collaboration between @imperialcollegeldn.bsky.social and Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. #neurosky
Want to image the activities of many thousands of neurons over an 8mm diameter field of view, in behaving mice? Read our new paper, just published in Light: Science & Applications.

Oh god yes. When you are bouncing a 22 author paper around all the top family journals, and have to enter enter every name and address individually into each journals different form (even when they are owned pub the same publisher). Why could they not just extract this stuff from the manuscript? 😤
Everything is bigger and better in the USA, including its demise
Somebody should develop a neurological intervention based on this. Perhaps using a transorbital ice-pick insertion procedure that can be easily scaled to large numbers of recipients?
It’s just monkey social group dynamics. Luckily there are enough of us with impaired social cognition to keep it from settling into one big attractor. Hang on, where was attractor in that chart? Has that gone too?

Looks like Bayesian information theorists are on their way out…
Just remember what happened to this guy
I think it’s been obvious for a long time that Spotify were not overly focused on the morals aspect. My response was to ditch them and switch to Tidal.
Definitely. Mark Carney is perhaps the closest we have. Macron has given occasional glimpses also. But either way, they should be played by Shohreh Aghdashloo - who just happens to be Iranian.
The strongest version of this illusion I’ve seen! Absolute head-wrecker!
Just remember that if something were to accidentally happen to Dad’s fishes, you would have to rush around trying to find fish that looked very similar before he got back. And distract him when he looks at them too closely - “why does my favourite fish have this spot on its tail, it didn’t before…”
Great stuff Edvard. It is nice to see a question actually get nailed down - rare in our business!
Will do :-)!
Good luck! So many opportunities in China right now, but at the same time so competitive. I’m about to publish a paper with my collaborators in Suzhou - they definitely have access to resources I can only dream of here. I want to go back this year and visit more of the Suzhou gardens.
Oh, you are a former patcher … what are you doing now, Wei? I have been too absent from bluesky, I missed the updates.

I was just interviewed on BBC Radio London by Jumoké Fashola, about neurotechnology (in general, but motivated by the recent London clinical trial of the neuralink implant and discussing ethics and future prospects). 15:42-15:57 or so, Fri 13th 2026.
Oops
Of course, it might come down in the end to the difference between being famous and infamous 😉.
Apparently professionalism is overrated. 🤔
I gave up X a long time ago. But I do find the level of engagement here pretty low. Maybe I don’t shitpost enough.
