Me, sowing an electoral system so I can get a constitution-amending supermajority on a smaller share of the vote: Haha fuck yeah!!! Yes!!
Me, reaping an electoral system where they can get a constitution-amending supermajority on a smaller share of the vote: Well this fucking sucks. What the fuck.

the Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire was excellent, written by a real historian from the perspective of an in-universe historian. Star Trek could do with something like that.
Okay CTA. This is a good sign.
The Welsh Senedd has a new electoral system; replacing MMP with low-magnitude closed list PR (with DM=6), ie. bang in the middle of the Carey-Hix “sweet spot” 😉

They don’t seem to offer that either. I just want the last ~3 months.
Nothing immediately. It seems like you can request a statement the next day which is a PDF.
I use Goodbudget and for US banks they can automatically sync with your bank. But not Australia, we need to use CSV.
Is it normal now for banks to not give you the option of exporting your data as a CSV? Our bank just switched to a new system without that option.
Today's blog post shows a new pendulum following the South Australian election, but also looks at seats where a different 2CP was possible, and includes graphs showing how 3CP relates to who wins in each seat. www.tallyroom.com.au/64680 #sapol
I have stopped bothering with Rear Vision but can’t put my finger on why.
There are now 10 toilets in Space
International Space Station: 4
Crew Dragon Docked at ISS: 1
Soyuz Docked at ISS: 1
Tiangong Space Station: 2
Shenzhou Docked at TSS: 1
Artemis II on way around Moon: 1
This will be the first time a toilet has left low earth orbit!
First test of One Nation preferences from 3CP to 2CP - 54.8% of ON preferences flowed to Nicholson over the Liberal on the final count.
Final margin was 55.2% to 44.8%.
In the seat of Finniss, independent Lou Nicholson has won despite coming fourth on primary votes.
Nicholson was 108 votes behind Labor on the primary vote, 18.5% to 18.1%.
On the 4CP, it was:
-Lib 28.7%
-Ind 25.4%
-ON 24.3%
-ALP 21.6%
On the 3CP it was:
-IND 40.4%
-LIB 32.6%
-ON 26.9%
I've got a blog post up today looking at the shape of the vote in South Australia - in particular it shows how Labor managed such an efficient vote, allowing them to win such a huge number of seats on a relatively low vote www.tallyroom.com.au/64667
special rules for the City of Sydney were introduced during the last NSW Coalition govt but we've had non-residential electors in NSW councils since the beginning.
I was deliberately vague because the rule varies from state to state. Property owners, business tenants, it varies.
the only state to not have non-residential voting is QLD.
I'd argue they're very British actually!
Used to be more common in Australia but mostly been eliminated now.
Yes
There is little change to the margins worth noting. Labor holds 6 of its 7 seats by very large margins. Grey/O'Donoghue gets slightly more marginal.
The seats of Spence and Mayo have contracted due to a large enrolment. Spence has mostly stayed put but Mayo has been pushed slightly into the Adelaide area to make room for Barker to expand.
3 seats are left entirely untouched - Adelaide, Sturt and Hindmarsh.
The enormous seat of Grey, which covers the north and west of the state and is beginning to encroach into the northern outskirts of Adelaide, has been proposed to be renamed O'Donoghue after Lowitja O'Donoghue.
The redistribution committee's draft changes to South Australia's ten federal electorates has dropped this morning, and I've finished my analysis at the Tally Room. Here's a quick thread summarising some changes www.tallyroom.com.au/64649

Yes. Should say 27%.
I've got a new blog post, which runs through all the data we've gained from the preference counts conducted in South Australia in the last two days, and then I go through a few uncalled races and call some of them. www.tallyroom.com.au/64645 #sapol
(It did not)
