In a perfect world you should not have plushies on the AIO exhaust, however a 3 fan AIO is overkill for anything but the most power hungry intel chips, so it really doesn't matter.

The plushies are cool!

I agree, but I don't do it with small indie games, most of them are worth supporting even if it's not your cup of tea.

AAAs are most often than not cashgrabs and should be taken with a big grain of salt and skepticism, especially when they ask for 70-100$.

Beautiful! I love classy cases like the North. Wood over glass any day and no RGB.

Me and @egodeath.bsky.social worked on something a bit different than what we are used with for skinmaking. It took a while since we uploaded, but I wanted to post it on bluesky as well.

I am sharing my #counterstrike #cs2 sausageman high poly and bake with all of my fellow skinmakers, for free!
Features a series of improvements over the original normal map.

Some of the work for this project was done on the Deck, from the comfort of my rocking chair. Technology has peaked.

I have made a little Steam Deckling for the @counter-strike.net workshop! Inspired by yours truly, my own Steam Deck that I play Zuma on before sleep.

This goes to show that software optimization is key, and no matter how much power we crank in our computers, a chip that was bought second hand for a tenth of the price running a newer version might get the same results as your highend hardware with outdated software.

Also it is worth noticing that the more expensive chips are not necessarily better, which was very curious for me. Single core tasks like decimation precomputing happen to have performed better on cheaper Ryzen 5 and 7 chips. 🧵

2025 Zbrush version severely increased performance, while previous ones don't seem to have done much. This might be limited to dynam, or maybe also other processes?
It sped up the res1400 test on the 7950x3D from 3:43 (223s) to 2:14 (134s), while decimation remained the same.

Intel seems to perform better than AMD among its highend chips at the cost of increased power draw.
7950x3D vs 13900K / 14900K in non 2025 zbrush versions,
150 vs 250W constant power draw
res800: 1:15/0:52
res1400: 3:43/2:32

Tests were performed on this sliced mesh, which was auto grouped and dynameshed with groups enabled at resolution 800 and 1400. The 1400 resolution version was then decimated. The same models were used for dynameshing and decimation in all tests. 🧵

Performed some Zbrush dynamesh and decimate benchmarks with the help of some friends on different CPUs, found some interesting things! 🧵

New skin for @counter-strike.net! Normals by me, textures by @egodeath.bsky.social. This toy has a funny integrated minigame, as it has a limited number of uses, and if you guess wrong it might turn into a grenade. TRs don't live long enough with this to have to worry about it though!
