Still not getting much time on this, but had to share a positive recent beachcomber find- Atrina fragilis, the gorgeous fan mussel- from Magilligan strand.
These have all but completely disappeared from NI waters, and like many of our bivalves, should play a vital role in ecosystem health 🌊πŸ¦ͺ
