Vibe coding is good or bad depending how it's implemented. Lots of implementations are going to create long term problems, but those are solvable problems. But I don't just mean security detection. Something like mythos means random people have access to state level cyber hacking tools.

I don't know the future and I'm not saying it will be the only technology humans ever create again, but a lot of folks think it's going away because datacenter rollout isn't matching the earlier claims, like in the OP. It's not going away, and it's going to rapidly expand.

I've advocated for delaying adoption of AI products where I work, and I think at least the current gen products in my industry are marketing hype. But a llm designed drug is in human trials presently and that was with models from years ago. Mythos' security vulnerability detection is a seashift.

But those students need somewhere to live. The more units coming online the lower the price pressure. Universities building more housing is great not because students are in a different market but because it's a single market. More housing means lower prices no matter who builds

Really? So much of sci fi is social commentary, especially utopian stuff. Ursula k le guin, Octavia butler, nk jemisin. Part of what makes a lot of these stories compelling is because they have something interesting to say about us. I'm surprised to hear that doesn't do anything for you.

Ugh, I'm so jealous. I hope you're having fun and asking the right questions. The overall series ending isn't perfect but it does a good job sticking the landing overall. But it's a show that's hard to talk about without giving stuff away
