Today started well with a rainbow (and no rain) on my #morningwalk , a visit to a very sunny Quilty and then an #afternoonwalk at sunset. Saw and heard a collared dove in the garden for the first time in ages too.
I even managed to get an urgent handbag order made and dispatched! π
Happy weekend
Two beautiful #morningwalk s yesterday and today. Cold but #blueskies Today's photo, the first one, shows lenticular clouds, which are lovely from the ground but apparently if you're a pilot can indicate severe turbulence ahead. Every day is a school day
Met these handsome lads on my #morningwalk
Finally got out for an #afternoonwalk today. The road is pretty much impassable travelling East. Not great going West but rumour has it there's no snow 1km down the road! #westclare
Hard to photograph falling snow in the dark! We don't get #sneachta very often in #westclare, but we've about 3-4 inches currently and it's still falling. Looks like I'll be working from home for a while π¨οΈβοΈββοΈ
Very mild the last 2 days for my #morningwalk. Today the walk was enhanced by seeing a charm of goldfinches and a solitary male bullfinch #birdwatcher #wildflowers
A few potential words of the day:
Joblijock: a disturber of domestic peace (small children, cantankerous uncles, etc).
Yule-hole: the furthest notch in your belt that you need to resort to at Christmas.
Confelicity: joy in other peopleβs happiness.
Merry Christmas.
Last craft fair of 2024, here in Ennis until 4pm.
The sewing machine will be putting its foot up to relax very soon now π
Dave is happy I'm home after a weekend in Dublin at Farmleigh Christmas Market. A bit of relaxation this evening now I'm home #timetosleep
It's a cold one!! I'm at Farmleigh Christmas Market this weekend, and my fleece Neckwarmer is essential
He's clearly got very discerning taste π
Do you think there is a Small Weak-nosed Stink Bug?
Fantastic. What a name
After all the wind and rain for the last few days, this #morningwalk is an absolute stunner. Washing on the line too - always a bonus, even if it is effectively freeze drying!
Amazing wildlife too by the looks of things. I do love iguanas. Have a fabulous time
Wow! Some of my bags really do get to visit some special places! Costa Rica... #onmybucketlist
An unprepossessing #morningwalk with grey skies and hillfog, but birdsong revealed I was being serenaded by both of Ireland's smallest birds, the goldcrest and the wren, and then i spotted a rather stunning fungus
#daymade #birdwatcher
This is one of those times when I seriously envy the cats of Bag Making HQ #catsatwork #mondayafternoon
From a #borroweddog I'm back home to beautiful Dave, most stunning and magnificent of the felines I share Bag Making HQ with #caturday #daylate
I never knew it had a name! Now I know I tartle all the time!
Very handy!
Last #morningwalk with #borroweddog today. I'll be back in Chapel Lane Market in Ennis tomorrow from 10am. #gettheGunderthetree #guaranteedirish
Stunning view of a skein of pink footed geese this #morningwalk. Identification aided by the Merlin app!
Thank you so much!!
@annapr.bsky.social Hello! I just found your fantastic Irish starter packs. If you're not finished with them, I would love to be included - I'm based in Miltown Malbay! Huge thanks
Another #morningwalk with #borroweddog. This time through fields and alongside a stream. Flocks of fieldfares and redwings were gorging on hawthorn berries and rosehips
A fabulous woodland #afternoonwalk, made more enjoyable with a borrowed canine companion #borroweddog #mud #dogwalk
