I was recently interviewed about teaching thinking by the good people of 'Board Intelligence': a group all about improving how boards function.

My new baby. I do hope you find it engaging and of value…
I see you can order my forthcoming book on Waterstones - something for the library perhaps? A lovely endorsement from Jim Wertsch who helped spur my interest in Bakhtin with his beautifully written Voices of the Mind.

Massive thanks to Simon Buckingham Shum and team!
I tend to agree. I worry it might make it sound woolly to some. But I think it possible to teach in a way that promotes what could be called internal dialogic space as well as shared dialogic space. In practice the two go together- students learn to think better on their own as well as in groups.
Yes that does sound about right to me
A very nice question. Thank you. But I don’t really know. I would love to hear from teachers about this…
Looking forward to this event tonight (tomorrow for some) organised by Simon Buckingham Shum of Sydney UTS - a colleague from my Open University days:

Israel-palestine erupting into politics, a Trump clone, extreme culture wars: This miniseries on 68 in the USA is essential context for understanding our present. Not quite as new as we think and presumably not all caused by the Internet after all.
