Still in a state of shock trying to process the tragic loss of one of the most gifted men in the entertainment industry & his wife when the Embarrassment-in-Chief disgraces common human decency with this repulsive, deranged statement.

Just spotted that BBC2 are showing Get Carter tonight at 11pm, so if you're a fan of seeing Alf Roberts get chucked off a car park you're in luck.

Tom Stoppard, playwright of dazzling wit and playful erudition, dies aged 88 A theatrical sensation since the 1960s, whose dramas included Arcadia, The Real Thing and Leopoldstadt, Stoppard also had huge success as a screenwriter

A simply incredible wordsmith. Brazil alone, never mind Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, Last Crusade and Empire of the Sun. What a legacy. www.theguardian.com/stage/2025/n...

Black and white photo looking down a street of terraced brick houses. Several cars line each side of the street, with many people gathered at the far end. Beyond this the bow of a large oil tanker can be seen, towering above the end of the street and the rows of houses.

Every time I come across this photo it completely stops me in my tracks. Crude oil supertanker Esso Hibernia under construction at Swan Hunter shipyard, Wallsend, during 1970. The scale and spectacle of this thing is incomprehensible. (📸 Harriet Berney)

5) Texarkana

My favorite from Out Of Time.
Mike Mills on lead vocals was the perfect choice.

“A melodic style that has drawn comparisons to The Moody Blues.”
