Unpopular Bowie opinion time!
Do you have an off the wall opinion about Bowie?

Maybe you think Lodger is the best "Berlin" album.

Or Pin Ups is better than Aladdin Sane

Or Time Will Crawl is in your top ten?

Or....?

The BBC is planning a major Bowie celebration concert in 2026 to fill the gap left by Glastonburyโ€™s fallow year.

It is expected to take place at Londonโ€™s O2 Arena, feature a range of artists performing Bowieโ€™s music, and be broadcast around the world.

Which artists would you like to see take part?

In June, a very special 50th anniversary celebration of Low & The Idiot takes place at Chรขteau dโ€™Hรฉrouville, in the studio in which they were recorded, with Carlos Alomar in attendance.
A rare chance to experience music history where it happened.

What is the best opening line to a Bowie song?
- "She's a tongue twisting storm"?
- "Still don't know what I was waiting for"?
- "It's a god-awful small affair"?
- "I'm home. Lost my job. And incurably ill"?

Or something else?

Happy birthday to the one and only Carmine Rojas! ๐ŸŽธ
Beyond the glorious music, Andy and I have so much to thank him for: a brilliant four-page interview for issue 4 and joining us at our New York convention in 2023.
Have a great one, Carmine! ๐ŸŽ‰

So, who is in your ultimate Bowie band?
We can have two guitarists (one rhythm, one lead) a bass player, a drummer, a keyboard player or pianist and a saxophonist.
I know who I'm choosing.

Ten years since David Bowie died today.
Still feels strange to say it.
His work hasnโ€™t faded into nostalgia . It keeps unfolding, revealing new meanings with time.
Bowie remains present: in the music, the ideas, and the permission he gave so many to be themselves.

As well as being David Bowieโ€™s birthday, today marks 10 years since Blackstar.
For me, itโ€™s his magnum opus; impossible to compare with his other works. Often a hard listen, yet forward-looking: unresolved, abrasive, deeply beautiful. Bowie was pushing boundaries right to the end.

I agree that putting this narrative into 90 minutes was a big ask.
