Whyyyyyy
Ramsey County again swings for the fences with riverfront plan.
I raise the idea that maybe downtown St. Paul just needs a single or a double.
You and I probably disagree on this, but I think schools were closed too long here and that played a role in some of crime issues
I would be more alarmed if it was the result of a bunch of companies leaving the city, which hasn't happened.
One theory I have on DT jobs: Our big employers allowed their workers to go remote and I think a lot left MN but kept their jobs at Target, etc.
Funny that his own company β Piper Sandler β had an expiring lease at 800 Nicollet and in 2022 decided to stay in Minneapolis.
Downtown Minneapolis was attracting tons of suburban companies leading up to the pandemic. Like, over 1 million square feet from 2013-2019.
These won't be condos
The Minneapolis Grain Exchange complex could be turned into 232 apartments under a play by Sherman Associates
Did the Pohlads buy the team?
Downtown Minneapolis can only truly be back when the Walgreens sushi station returns
I'm concerned about whether you can have a parade on Nicollet Mall if it's pedestrian-only
The only trade I had a problem with last year was the Varland one. Made no sense considering his age and years of control left.
But also, if you're going to do the sell-off, why not include Joe Ryan and Ryan Jeffers?
Honestly surprised Wisconsin's isn't higher
Why don't they just trade Ivan Pace for Joe Burrow, ANDREW?!?
Why David Fhima closed Fhima's Minneapolis, why he's still bullish on downtown and details on a new skyway restaurant he's building right now

$1 beers by the end of the season?
Thanks! But I am as replaceable as the KFC
Accurate
Yeah thatβs possible. Might also be that the valuation was made before they increased the capacity from 2mw to 20mw
Cost estimates to build a new data center are $7M to $11M per megawatt. This building has 21 megawatts of capacity and could be expanded to 40.
It's because it has a data center inside. There's a huge demand for data centers.
What seems shady about it?
There's a great bike route from Dublin to Howth I took last fall.
Howth is a fun little fishing village and you can do some nearby hikes.
People didn't want to buy and sell houses in January. It was the slowest month for sales since December 2007.
Minnesota Realtors suggests non-market factors are at play. I think we all know what happened here, even if they won't say it.
Probably true. And also, there's less bad behavior on the streets when it's cold.
But I still don't think the ICE surge changed peoples' perceptions about the safety of Mpls much. I could be wrong.
Maybe I am overly optimistic, but I agree with Evan. I think a lot of suburbanites have gotten over the fear mongering about Mpls and I don't think the ICE surge changed that.
Doesn't seem to be hurting Target Center attendance.
Wonder how many applicants they would get considering the number of openings in local PDs.
