Get some other writers to be your friends

For many years when we weren’t on the road, Bobby and I would arrange for a catch-up dinner at Musso and Frank Grill in Hollywood. We’d order steaks and spend hours talking. Reminiscing, sure, but mainly talking about our kids and how lucky we were. Forty years of friendship. I’ll miss you, man.
