Uvon initially lost to Alatu and being the competitive one, wanted to get stronger, and Alatu was willing to train her. She also trains Olene and Duziro to an extent when they ask. She also likes to tell stories to her friends when the working day is done.

River Zora Alatu reference

Alatu basically likes to work around her place and keep her self busy and collects logs for building material. She's considered a calm and collected, and likes to rest in the river waters. She also acts as kind of a coach for Uvon.
