So I had my first online French class today, and met my fellow student, a beautiful older lady who is learning French so she can speak to her grandson in France. This is the kind of person I want to be when I grow up 🥹

Treat your team like coworkers, or treat them like a family. Distance yourself from work emotionally or be heartbroken when your direct is struggling.

Do whatever works best for you, in your org, with your people.

#userresearch has more to do with research than with users. It’s great learn what users think. But most of the researcher’s work is about analyzing the feedback, evaluating solutions, and getting a buy-in from your product.

We are the scientists pitching for funding, not the scientists in a lab.

Can’t focus on my French class after realizing the French title for The Hobbit is Le Hobbit, with both ‘h’ and ‘t’ silent. Spent a good twenty minutes marveling at Bilbo Sacquet, Cul-de-Sac, la Montagne Solitaire, and other wonders of transcreation. #french #languages
