Okay Ben Roberts-Smith but what of Australians fighting for the IDF? - Michael West A choice has been made to prosecute Ben Roberts-Smith and an Australian soldier in Ukraine but not returning IDF soldiers linked to genocide.

Ben Roberts-Smith - "a choice has been made".

The problem is not the prosecution. The problem is prosecuting an Australian fighting for the ADF but not Australians fighting for the IDF involved in genocide.

Australia's charged a drone operator who worked for Ukraine, no Au IDF soldiers participating in genocide, or female IDF invited here to enjoy rest between genocide. He has contempt for Au women & children who have committed no crimes? This isn't rational #auspol

The fiscal system should be used not only for revenue, but encourage behaviour. It’s perverse to tax EVs during a climate crisis. If there’s a revenue shortfall from fuel excise, tax the gas industry.

All taxes go to consolidated revenue. No particular tax pays for any particular expenditure: the High Court settled this. So if there’s a revenue shortfall, tax the bastards who aren’t paying: corporations, mining giants, tech giants, et als.

Sanctions time. Israel is at least as bad as South Africa was.

A reminder that the adoption of the IHRA definition - as pushed by Australian Antisemitism Envoy Jillian Segal - is part of a coordinated global effort to suppress any criticism of Israel's genocidal policies.

And the Australian government has caved in. #auspol

Sure was. It was during that period when a little shower of prominent legacy media personalities bitched & moaned incessantly about the unwashed ’mob’ on social media. Leigh Sales, Speers, Fran Kelly, Sam Maiden, Karvelis, et als. It was glorious.

PVO, professor emeritus of politics at UWA, is a petulant, ignorant ghoul who once claimed on Xhitter that the Nazis were left wingers, then had a colossal tantrum & sulk when he was dragged for it.

It’s not just timid incrementalism. It’s incrementalism designed to limit what seems possible. It’s intended to make the bold reforms we need seem radical. We can’t have nice things, we can only have slightly less shitty versions of nasty things.

Australia should sanction Israel for its war crimes and ongoing apartheid.

This would be amazing. Except it's Trump. So it isn't.

It's just horrendous.

2/2 Pezzullo joined Customs in the mid 2000s. He was there when they decided to arm Customs officers. He didn’t start the militarisation of Customs, but he rode the wave like the bully/authoritarian motherfucker he is.

1/2 Customs’ focus was the ‘war on drugs’ until Tampa. Prior to that they were opportunistic about refugees, using boat arrivals to get more resources. After Tampa the government refocused on refugees & terrorism. Then we invaded Iraq and everybody lost their fucking minds.

That’s appalling. And hilarious. Whatever has happened to the poor old Australian Customs Service.

New life goal of just wanting to outsell Tony Abbott's history of Australia. Seems doable.

To anyone who thinks Trump can bring peace and equality to Iran – I’ve got a bridge to sell you. Going cheap | Marina Hyde If POTUS can really bomb peace, stability and women’s rights into the Middle East, I’ll take my hat off to him. The tweet reads: Today, I want to be very clear -

The more than 40,000 who served our nation in the 20 years of the war in Afghanistan did so with extraordinary bravery and made our nation proud.

The 47 who made the ultimate sacrifice will forever have their names etched on our nation’s most sacred roll of honour.

For those who were injured physically, and mentally and emotionally, our nation remains in your debt.

The brave deeds of each of these people now form part of the history of our nation. And in thanking them for their service, all of us- in knowing they carried our flag- feel an immense sense of pride.

Is there anything more modern-day-Labor than Richard Marles defending Australia troops against slander without mentioning the slander was committed by Donald Trump?
Surface level concern underpinned by utter cowardice and complicity.

I see another Day of National Mourning has rolled around that instead will be celebrated as "Australia Day."

First Nations are still not experiencing equality in their very own country. So tired of this shite. #auspol #NoPrideInGenocide #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBeAboriginalLand

Across America and the world, people are realizing it’s not possible to appease America’s dictator.

The only way to deal with him is to stand up to him — and the only way to stand up to him is by joining together against him.

It's time for a massive general strike across the country.

Warning - it shows Alex Pretti’s execution.

So is this what @albomp.bsky.social and his Deputy believe are the “shared values” we hold with the US and means we need to keep sending them billions for AUKUS?
