One of my cats has learnt how to play fetch! By this I mean she drops her toy by my head at 5am then whines until I throw it!

Chotiner: Tell me what you found interesting about these vampires.
Documentarian: Well, it's just -- the group dynamics, I guess.
Chotiner: I can see that. I can see finding Nandor, Laszlo and Nadia entertaining.
Documentarian: Exactly.
Chotiner: So. How many people did you watch them murder?
Unsolicited writing advice, no. 90981:
Unhappiness is not a prerequisite for making good art. Tea as a writing medium works quite as well as blood, and comes out a lot cheaper...

I just thought everyone should see this
Throughout a career in publishing, the commonest problem I’ve found in authors trying to break into the business is their fear of taking themselves seriously. If that’s you, try this. (Little thread follows.)
1. Remove “aspiring” or “would-be writer” from your bio. Replace it with “writer.”
Almost every day this little madam comes and interrupts my work, then runs off when I go to give her rubs! Today was clearly the exception! #cat #catsofbluesky
Could you be sued for using AI?
I wrote a little piece over on the blog about the legality of what AI produces, and the potential future that could be in store for us if the court decides against AI's ability to create copyrighted work! jjunthank.com/2026/01/02/c...
Going over First Pass pages today looking for last minute typos, thought I'd read the whole book backwards (chapter-by-chapter, not word-by-word, that would be impossible)! It's completely broken my usual flow (I must of read the book like a 100 times) so it seems to be working! #amwriting #booksky
SELL IT TO WHO, BEN?? FUCKING PUMAMAN??
God forbid anyone suggests kindness to refugees this *checks notes* Christmas
A tiny christmas wreath hanging from a green door
Many years ago (when we were dead broke) Rachel said she wanted a christmas wreath for our door, so I took a branch that had fallen off our plastic tree and some odd decorations, and made this! For some reason it's still her favourite! She insists it's the first decoration up each year!

Much better! Thank you! =)
Oh I'm so jealous, I loved Travis Baldree's first two books, this one didn't disappoint!
Thanks man! It all went better than expected!
Thanks Marco! Back on my feet now! =D
Thanks man! All went well! ❤️
Been a chill two weeks, but I think it's back to work today, got some copyedits to go through! My doctors and surgeon are all happy with how it's all gone, so everything is best case scenario! The scars are pretty gnarly though, won't be posting them here until they've cleared up! #writingcommunity
Holding two books in a hospital bed, one is ‘Everything is Tuberculosis’ by John Green, the second is ‘Brigands & Breadknives’ by Travis Baldree.
Recovery reading sorted for the next few days! #booksky
Also I didn’t get an uneven tan from the surgery, it’s iodine staining! =P
Man (who is slightly orange from the iodine) recovering in hospital post surgery with a compression bandage on his neck and chest!
Surgery all went well! Moving and not in too much pain! A lot of work still to go until the implant is working but, for now, all is good!
All good. Very drugged!
Me in surgery gown waiting in a hospital room.
Me in super sexy anti blood clot stockings and bright yellow socks.
Been waiting for this day for two and a half years, and now I’m roughly three hours away from being a cyborg! Wish me luck!
Most definitely! She’s been feeling extremely sorry for herself ever since we got home!
Ohh protest poo sounds like it would be fun to clean! =P mine just hide under the blankets we put in there with them!
Just got her back from the vet, they’ve given her some antibiotics to help! She should be better by Monday! =) Poor sod did not like the vet one bit! =P
Caught one on camera! She’s really not having the best time! This was proceeded by her getting lots of pets out in the corridor outside my office! (Her favourite spot for some reason)
A poorly ragdoll cat named Zelda lying on the floor next to the top of a staircase.
Been working through my editors notes all day and this little chicken has come up to interrupt me about fifteen times! She’s feeling a bit under the weather bless her, taking her to the vet later! #amwriting #writingcommunity #booksky #cat
