Virginia passes redistricting measure that could help Democrats retake the House The referendum creates as many as four Democratic-leaning districts in Virginia ahead of the midterm elections.

Breaking news: Virginia voters approved a referendum to draw new congressional districts that could add up to four Democratic seats in the House, AP projects, giving Democrats an advantage in the national redistricting war begun by Republicans.

participation in school-led/sanctioned prayer. Or the school issuance of hijabs to girls, for that matter. As long as wearing was "voluntary."

Reading the summary of the majority's reasoning, it seems to imply that a state or school district could go MUCH MUCH further before reaching what it considers "establishment."

It seems plausible that it could permit a state to require displays of portraits of "Jesus," or "voluntary" (1/2)

Thirteen U.S. troops died trying to get these people to safety — Afghan interpreters, soldiers, and the families of our service members. Veterans spent sleepless nights during the chaotic withdrawal fighting to keep them alive. Now our own government is going to abandon them.

I am constitutionally unable to use less than a couple of pounds (say, half beef, half pork). Which means making the sauce on a weekend, as it is an all-day affair.

My mother would have just fried a pound of hamburger and mixed in some tomato sauce....

The Court finds the decision to proceed with the 15th Street Cycle Track Removal to be
arbitrary and capricious because the record does not reflect that the defendants examined the
relevant data and articulated a rational connection between the facts found and the choice made.
It further finds that the defendants’ invocation of the highway modernization categorical exclusion,
and their conclusion that the Removal Project would not have a significant impact on public health
and safety, to be arbitrary and capricious as well. Therefore, the decision to proceed with the
Removal Project as described in the March 31, 2026 NPS Decision Memorandum and the March
31, 2026 NPS and FHWA Categorial Exclusion documents, as well as in the February 23 NPS and
February 27 FHWA Categorical Exclusion documents to the extent they were not rescinded or
nullified but only elaborated upon on March 31, is hereby VACATED and REMANDED to the
National Park Service and the Federal Highway Administration

Less that than to create a "temporary", pro-Democratic gerrymander to counter states like Texas and Missouri.

A UN report says that 8.8 million people in Asia and the Pacific are likely to fall into poverty as a result of the Iran war. Maybe they should have said "thank you" to President Trump for not sending them into poverty during his first 5 years in office.
