Missed the opportunity to go 2 yrs ago, and have been trying to go ever since! One day, tho! Seems like it'd be a very unique experience. π
A8. Never been, but would LOVE to rent a fan boat or take a tour. I hear they offer alligator feeding from the boat! If thats true, Im all in!ππ

ALL great places! Only drove thru Crater Lake area, but would love to go back up there and explore it more. As for N. CA, there's a lot to discover, and much of it is right off the main hwy (5) or easily accessible. Calaveras and the Sierra Foothills are interesting too!π Lots of history.

Its pretty much an annual tradition for us now. For the past couple yrs we've been going up there, and still find new things to see and explore. A lot of little-known gold rush history in that part of CA, too! π€ βοΈπ°

πWe LOVE Lassen! Thanks for the shout-out! I wanted to answer this question too, but we always say 'Lassen', so I passed. π
Great park, tho! And super easy to see the areas best attractions in a day or weekend! That whole part of CA is pretty cool to explore! π

#parkchat Hey everybody! Sorry we missed you guys last time.
A4. Never seen people having spring break parties in any NPs, but Living near Los Padres National Forest, there'd be places the kids would go for big parties out in the woods or at campgrounds. Though most were respectful, others would trash the place, ruining it for everyone. π

A10. We tell our friends about it, and share our trips and stories through our blog articles. Many people never consider parks as 'somewhere to go', so we like to remind them of all the many things parks, and other outdoor locations, have to offer. To get folks out there! π

A9. We try to visit as many new parks as we can, but one park we always return to is Lassen NP. Its a beautiful & easy 4 hr drive away, and not as busy as more popular parks like Yosemite. There is so much else to do around the area (outside the park), that we always have new things to see!#parkchat
A7. Spotting any wildlife can make a park visit memorable. Our trip to Glacier NP was by far the best trip for that. Bears, longhorn sheep, and white mountain goats with their little babies were practically around every corner. But it was the goat families that always stole the show. #parkchat
Santa Clara County & the Greater Bay Area are packed with incredible outdoor escapes. Weβve compiled a helpful guide highlighting some of our favorite local hikes & nature spots to help you make the most of your trip to the SF Bay Area.

A9: "How much viewers can trust what they see" or "how much viewers will be inspired to visit a place or entertained"? IMHO, there's time & place for everything, including AI. Apple+ "Prehistoric Planet" photorealistic CGI comes to mind. #parkchat

πThats a good trick! But then you cant hear em' comin! π¬
A6. I dont think theres ever been a night spent in a tent where you didn't hear 'something' stirring about or twigs snapping, it goes with the territory. Its the grunts & snorts that get scary. Once you hear that, theres not much hope of falling back to sleep. π³

A2. We feel it's a balance of the two. Sure it's good to have the tech/means to see this stuff in real time before a trip. But also use our basic intuition and good judgement. Weather conditions can turn on a dime, and if you know what to look for, you can act accordingly.πππ#parkchat
A1. We (I) google the area before hand, mostly to get a birds-eye of where trails/roads are. I often go a step further and go to street view and check out land marks, see what camp sites and trail areas look like etc. Its kind of a spoiler, but Im usually driving, so I need to this stuff. π#parkchat
