Hey y'all, I was recently hit by layoffs at Respawn/EA:

I'm a veteran #LevelDesigner with 17+yrs of exp in the AAA space (MP + SP, 3rd person + FPS).

I'm seeking a Principal Level Design or Lead LD/Design Manager role (I've worked in both IC + management) if y'all are hiring/know connections!

It is crucial for my game with big world where I want to jump easily into specific point of the map.

Because of that this drop down idea looks nice but I would also want it to be extensible by addons so I could add the section

- Spawn point -
DEFAULT
EDITOR CAMERA

I added addon to also support option to change spawn destination. I have drop down next to play button that selects if I want to spawn where my player node it or where editor camera is - pretty much mimicking what is already possible in unreal engine.

Quick note: please be mindful when leaving negative reviews on Steam as they can heavily impact a game's score. If you have questions or need support, reviews aren't the best place. Opening a discussion thread helps everyone. Reviews are best kept for sharing your experience!

Bonbons, we have recently posted plenty more open positions in Poland, USA and Canada -- hiring for Cyberpunk 2, Witcher 4, Sirius and Hadar!

Remote, on site, and hybrid, depending on the role. Check it out and share with your chooms 😌

Rift Riff - Apps on Google Play Jump a rift, fight off monsters, plunder their world.

You can (try to) help offset the loss of earnings by downloading, purchasing and rating their games on Google Play (or any other platform, they won't complain).

We can’t afford a $1M trailer slot 😔

But reposts on Bluesky cost $0 - and they really help tiny teams like ours ❤️

If cozy medieval creativity is your thing, here’s our Scriptorium trailer!

My great grandmother painted for fun. I grew up with one of her paintings – a stand of pine trees weighted down with heavy snow. I’ve always loved that painting so I thought I would create my own version. I hope you enjoy the results!

Is anyone using c++ modules?

I have the same with Twitter, I come back from time to time but always uninstall eventually because of same reason you state. It’s easier when I’m avoiding it.

What do you all consider the ideal approach to author AI behaviors? Freeform graphs spaghetti? A more structured hierarchical fsm? Utility scoring? Something else?

Consider ease of authoring, flexibility and ease of maintaining (thats where normal behavior trees fail IMO).
