"Stifling free speech" "government hitting back." potato, po-tat-to.
3 months D2 sober as well, still not a record of 143 days I've got, but I don't think I'm going to relapse this time.
I'm still having a hard time believing this is real, and at the same time I could totally see him writing something this insane.

I agree. Luckily, someone I know is a professional editor and they offered to look at it along with my other beta readers. So, I think I have all the bases covered for now. I do get this published I'll definitely go more the paid professional route for the next book.
Thanks for the offer, but I should be all set. I went a bit overboard and got over a dozen readers :D
Beta draft away! Hope my readers like it as much as I do! Thought I'd be more nervous, but I'm more excited than anything. After defending a PhD, this part seems easy in comparison.
(Ask me again after the feedback trickles in.)

Didn't mean to offend. I've just been roasted in the past when I've made similar statements.
I'd be a bit careful about saying "it took a big hit". We don't know how life started on Earth, let alone if similar conditions are required elsewhere. You very well could be correct, however, I'd personally would add many more qualifiers to statements like that.
I didn't spy any Texas carbons, so it at least had that going for it.
