My best April Fools joke - what a day for the fertility clinic to call and tell you you’re pregnant! - is now four months old. Science is pretty amazing tbh.

Gutted not to be at Kawaiicon today but I am busy with the late stages of gestating a tiny human. Surreal after years of infertility and IVF. I was hesitant to give birth at the con although that would be very metal. It turns out I have to pee every 20 minutes so I’ll see more on the livestream lmao

She’s pretty much back to normal! We moved house after it started as well and everyone was miserable for weeks, but she’s settled in now. Much more room to explore here!

She has been on calm food and Feliway for years so it’s not a brand new issue, I think she’s just like me 😅 last time the calm food fixed the grooming, but this was way worse. honestly they say animals know, but these two dumb dumbs seem to have 0 idea

I don’t even know what a cat who lives in the lap of luxury, wants for nothing, and has better health insurance than the average person has to be anxious about in the first place 🤷‍♀️

I haven’t posted cat pictures in forever because Ada has been looking mangy, huge patches of fur missing from anxiety. Anyway so when you get kitty Prozac it’s the exact same pills as for people and you just quarter them lol. It works!

I like the Arlo app & cloud recording but this is not my first replacement camera. I just copy paste a “under NZ law CGA reasonable amount of time etc” I keep in my Notes app and they send a new one, but it’s a hassle. Plus they’ve replaced it with a new model so the existing solar panel won’t work.

We have an Arlo camera on our “front” porch (which is difficult to access & not the door 99% of people use). First dies under warranty, replacement. Replacement dies out of warranty, got replacement under CGA. FedEx just threw the CGA one onto the front porch.. but no camera is there to capture it 🤦‍♀️

Mostly foiled the cookers. Today we rest. Tomorrow.. well, Bear will still be resting who am I kidding.

These beds were the best purchase ever. We got one for Puppy when she was still here, then bought a second one so we could stop moving the bed between rooms for her, then Bear and Ada each inherited one.

She was doing this before even though she obviously did not fit, then we made it bigger and… abandoned until about a week ago lol

With this MAGA wannabe time wasting nonsense about removing inclusive language re: pregnant people, we currently don’t fund pregnancy ultrasounds in NZ. That is something that could actually improve obstetric outcomes….
