Could you explain the population numbers? Budapest (Hungary's capital) has 1.7 million people in it, over 3 times as many people as the whole population of Minneapolis.

After looking at NASA images from the Artemis II mission, the problems on Earth seem so small, and social media feels so empty... it makes me feel ready to not use social media at all... I'm closer to that every day.

Do you use "Sign in with Google/Apple/Facebook/etc"?
Well that could mean a lot of data is shared back to big tech.

Most sites that use a big tech sign-in button allow you to change to a traditional username/password and delink. Check the account settings and switch over.

Do you have a cloud doorbell cam?

Your life is being used to train AI, your video is open to warrantless police access, and employees can get into your data at a whim.

ONVIF cameras are self-hosted on your home network. No subscription, and the cameras are priced very reasonably.

Don't you think a condemnation of using Synthetic Text Extruders (aka LLM) in any way is warranted based on the way they work as a technology would be more effective that just condemning one company... The way these models work as a whole are the problem, not just one company. They are all bad.

New sworn declarations from DHS officials are giving us new numbers in the amount of agents in Minnesota.
-When you combine ICE + CBP = at least 4,000 agents were here
-ICE: As of Monday, 970 agents remained. As of today, 400 will remain
-CBP: As of Monday, the remaining 67 officers left the state

"AI Boomer" is a term for someone who is pro-AI development and believes it's going to save the world.
Conversely, an "AI Doomer" is someone who thinks it's going it could lead to some horrible end.

100% this.
Mutual Aid ≠ Nonprofit charity

Mutual aid is direct assistance, and nonprofits are charities that the wealthy use to lower their taxes while gaining the image that they are helping people.

1 month ago 1 0 0 0

Not all mutual aid are non-profits, and non-profits often limit the kind of aid offered, or who theyboffer it to.

This could be bolstering nonprofit budgets, not necessarily getting dorect assistance to people the way a mutual aid group can.

Wrestler Brandon Gore's schtick is he is a conspiracy theorist, and the tinfoil hat gives him an edge. His intro music is the X-Files theme song.

The people over papers map for 2/17 at 10:20pm. Lots of ICE activity reports mostly concentrated outside of Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Only green pins indicating "sightings of ICE" were reported in Minneapolis city limits. Yellow staging and red active arrest pins are scattered around the suburbs.

So about that "drawdown" that was promised sure doesn't seem to be happening in the #TwinCities. Most of the #ICE activity is in the suburbs. The People Over Papers app only had arrest reports outside of #Minneapolis.

Exclusive: Hegseth boosts Minneapolis immigration siege, approving use of military base In an email obtained by the Chronicle, U.S. Customs and Border Protection asked for use of Fort Snelling to house federal immigration agents, weapons, vehicles and aircraft.

It was always going to be this way.
Weeks ago Hegseth approved the use of Fort Snelling (previously decommissioned) for ICE operations. It can house 500-800 people, and all the shit they need to keep abducting people.

What scars? They are still open wounds. The drawdown here in Minneapolis feels like bullshit. #ICE goons are still out and abducting people. Don't believe a single word out of Tom Homan's mouth. The shutdown hasn't done shit because they are funded for 3 full years.

Here's the map closer to the end of the day. #ICE is not out of #Minnesota.
Don't believe a goddamn word out of the mouth of anyone working under Trump. If there's a "draw down" happening, it's a pretty active way to not abduct people.

Lots of bullshit news flying around about a "DHS shutdown," but remember that the Big [Ugly] Bill funded them for 3 years. ICE is *active* in The Twin Cities metro today. Here is the www.iceout.org People Over Papers map. The goons are out!
