Watching democracy die and knowing there is little to nothing you can do about it at this point is a traumatic experience. I think the worst will have to happen before repair can begin.

Despite this being one of the worst days for our country, on a personal level, it has been a rare good day (and weekend actually). Made huge progress on our taxes; my daughter has safely made her big move to the Pacific Northwest; and she, I, Miranda and her adoptive dad had a great dinner together.

I'm convinced that this entire election was nothing more than a power play by Elon Musk to force a hostile takeover of Tik Tok. And we're all gonna pay for it.

My heart is with the people of Southern California right now...these fires are scary.
