Yeah but (IIRC) Clive and gang don’t discuss that very much. Their main concern is cid’s technology being available to others, and not the bearers’ wellbeing. Also you’d think they’d give them the furnace on the condition of treating the bearers in the village better but no, just have it I guess

It’s funny the game has this take on this meanwhile the gang has no problem with the idea of giving the furnace technology to the blacksmith village who’s abusing the bearers. As I recall, it’s not even a factor in the decision
