Well you don't necessarily need to move on from it, I feel like foam will always have some level of demand due to its ability to be carved and added onto by the maker to make it unique.
Offering a design as a foam base or 3D printed will give a choice, and a way to hinge your bet of sorts 🙂
Just wanted to say, you're not alone in this, i'm just starting with foam casting here and i'm already having similar thoughts seeing the shift towards 3D printed bases (both regular and TPU based printed bases)

Upping our foam-casting game with some new techniques, the difference is really striking!
Here is the list of feet models that will be soon available:
