Civilians continue to bear the brunt of the conflict in Sudan.
Indiscriminate attacks, sexual violence, starvation tactics and the destruction of essential infrastructure are widespread.
More than 70% of health facilities have been damaged or destroyed, leaving millions without access to care.
The war in Sudan is not a crisis caused by natural disaster. It is a man-made catastrophe driven by interests of power over natural resources & politics, violations of international law, & a failure to act on behalf of humanity.
After 3 years of war, 33 million people now need humanitarian support.
In Sierra Leone, the Lite Salone project (funded by Irish Aid & the Icelandic Embassy) has been life changing. Instead of costly torches, Mohamed now pays a monthly fee for solar energy, making their home safer & allowing him to charge his phone.

🌍Today is Ireland's Overshoot Day. If the rest of the world consumed like Ireland since Jan 1st, the Earth would run out of resources on Apr 14th.
Last year, this date was May 17th.
This is not just! The climate crisis is happening NOW, and is impacting families in Ireland & around the world.
Rami Elhanan & Bassam Aramin are Israeli & Palestinian fathers who lost children in the conflict, & are now directors of Parent's Circle. Hear their story of turning grief into peace & reconciliation.

Protesters holding banners: KEEP IRELAND LNG FREE STOP FUELING THE CLIMATE CRISIS NO LNG TERMINALS and the Extinction Rebellion flag
Near Dept Climate -protesting Gov’s outrageous plan to build LNG import terminal in state-declared climate emergency. You'd expect current demo of vulnerability of fossil fuel supplies to war & geopolitics would give Gov pause, but sadly we can't count on them seeing sense. Demand "No LNG terminals!"
