none of the MPs quoted in the piece make that confusion, so not clear who is making it - them or the journalists
They'll make a political scientist of me yet

Telegraph readers: “it is impossible to imagine anyone being more despicable than Joseph Stal… hang on a minute”
😂
Is this guy trying to convince me that the phrase ‘Stalin with a nose ring’ is no laughing matter?
Gil Duran tweet: TLDR: Fascism in response to Palantir's long fascists screed on X.
"Your Account is Suspended" Message on X
The CEO of Palantir posted a fascist manifesto on X.
I pointed out that it was fascist—which resulted in a permanent suspension from X (my second time!).

Spurs fans celebrated their team losing a game in 2024, which would have otherwise given them Champions League football, because it meant Arsenal not winning the title. Financially and psychologically, that was a bit of a sliding doors moment IMO.
but did Nandy or anyone else actually say these things?
A friend of mine received a call informing them that their Amazon account was being used to buy things. They looked, and indeed it was - but the scam was to use that hack in order to get them to hand over data ostensibly to protect the account.
