In my humble opinion, top leaders for American health agencies should:
- have actual patient care experience, not just letters behind a name
-clear history of service to the country (military, govt, etc)
-proven commitment to calm, steady, clinically rooted messaging
This meant a lot to me.
At a time when our profession is being attacked, putting yourself out there isn’t easy.

Trump either doesnt understand how many people rely on robust Medicare and Medicaid programs for healthcare needs or he doesn’t care.
Suggesting states should foot the bill is nonsensical but signals his priorities (which aren’t healthcare)
