This game blew my little kid mind. Still have fond memories from it.

When you hit the sweet spot in your golf swing, you don't have to swing super hard to hit a great shot.

I see too many freelancers "swinging hard" and not getting great results.

It is straight up dangerous that the + key is right next to DELETE! (at least on Mac)

I'm just trying to zoom into my After Effects timeline and oops, I've deleted something, but don't realize it for several hours.

Just me?

Every morning I wake up with a song in my head. So after the 5 words that I know loop in my head for 30 minutes, I listen to the song to stop the madness.

Then throughout the day, this happens probably 3 more times.

How to make hard things feel a little easier...

1. Imagine you have to give someone else advice on said thing hard thing
2. Write down 3-5 practical steps they could take
3. Write an inspiring sentiment for them

It's easier to give advice to others. So do it and then listen.

The return to sane hours will come.

But for now, keyframes and coffee.

(Except I don't drink coffee... but keyframes and early grey with a little oatmilk and a splash of creamer just doesn't have the same ring to it).

Currently on a very intense project.

Lots of OT hours and weekend work.

As the hours and the exhaustion rack up, I am focusing on my gratitude for working with an awesome team that is as support as they are hard working.

This project will wrap soon.

The OT will stop...

Honestly, same.

I really do think they both have a place, but having the time to "build it right" or at least more easily editable in the future always feels better.

a) Move fast to get a first draft asap.
b) Build rigs, stay super organized, make everything very changeable/updateable.

Both have pros and cons.

As a keyboard shortcut junky, I can now search for keyboard shortcuts online a tiny bit faster.

How did I not know Select Children existed?!!

I've spent hours, days... years(!!) searching for all the After Effects layers that are parented to particular layers.

This isn't exactly NEW anymore... but using Overlord 2 to get Figma designs into AE is SO smooth 🙌

It's making me want to ditch Illustrator and learn Figma.

If I could wave a magic wand, you (and I) would no longer feel like our personal value was tied at all to likes and comments on social media.

We all KNOW it.

But we also still feel the pull to check our notifications.

Choose your mentors wisely.

Their tools rule. 10/10 do recommend. They are worth every penny. Also the merch goes way harder than anything I’ve seen. And the company is made up of cool people. I don’t know what else to tell you.

I love watching YouTube video interviews of authors on their book promo podcast tour.

This is a big filter for whether I pick the book up or not.
