I started the year off on a bad footing (on one foot actually!) and spent a lot of it ill on the sofa. But turns out I got quite a lot done on the days I went outside π Hereβs to everyone who helped make it a good one. More selfies with people I love next year! Happy 2025 βοΈ

A lovely day in Leeds with my momma yesterday. I had steak for breakfast and we met a naughty Santa on a motorbike π ππ
Had a lovely couple of days in London this week, catching up with my beautiful niece, river cruise, visiting the Tower of London, meal in Leicester Square, spot of Christmas shopping and sitting in the gallery for PMQs, followed by lunch in the House of Commons with our brilliant MP β€οΈ

This special edition series of @WhiteRibbon_UK portraits by artist Annabel McCourt shines a light on violence against women & girls.
This week we say, NO, again, to Violence Against Women & Girls. We say, again, that the scale of VAWG is unacceptable. We say, again, that we need more action now.
We will share stats, information, artistic intervention. We will march and hold vigil. Join us. Do not look away

Some of our pics from the first @curiosityhull.bsky.social live event at East Park Library with @vickyafoster.bsky.social & @deanwilson.bsky.social including the books that Dean read from. Thank you all for coming along!
We are underway at our very first Curiosity event, High Tea &Poetry at East Park Library. Sarnies and buns scoffed, @vickyafoster.bsky.social and @deanwilson.bsky.social are whipping the crowd into a poetic frenzy. We opened with a poem for John Prescott. The Masque of Anarchy by Shelley.
Haha - thatβs impressive! Iβve got a poem about hopping between rowing boats and islands - I thought that was brave!
Me too - although I did love my visits to Central Library as a kid, and I suppose I wouldnβt have gotten those if thereβd been one in the park π
Thanks Oliver!
Thanks Chris! Was for Simon and Rick really, but I do a teeny bit for The Hull Story!

What a glorious thing it was to read poetry in East Park this afternoon for @curiosityhull.bsky.social with my brilliant mate Dean Wilson - itβs always been a beautiful place and then they went and made it better by adding a cafe & a library π
