Exploring the Christian Faith with the Church of England’s Pilgrim Course
We have started a new Christian Faith Course for adults who would like to explore or deepen their Christian faith.
This course is also particularly suitable if you wish to be confirmed in the Anglican Church.
A clearly marked sign will indicate the collection area. Thank you all for your generosity and support in making this event a success!
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us
Important reminder: To help us offer items of quality, we kindly ask that all clothing donations be washed and ironed. Please consider whether the items you donate are in a condition you would purchase yourself. Donations can be left in the church hall behind the piano before or after the service.
We still need help! If you’re available on the 5th and would like to lend a hand or bake a cake for our refreshment stall, please sign up on the noticeboard at the back of the church, where you’ll find a list of areas where support is needed.

Vania worships with the Anglican/Episcopal community of St Augustine’s in Wiesbaden.
If you are interested in attending, please contact the church office at berlin.anglican@gmx.de and we will send you more information soon.
In addition to her academic work, Vania serves as a spiritual director, accompanying others as they seek to discern God’s call in their lives. She is passionate about walking alongside people as they open themselves to a more profound encounter with the Divine.
Vania has been practising Centring Prayer for over 20 years, drawing deeply from the Christian contemplative tradition. She is currently pursuing a doctorate at the University of Mainz, where her research focuses on 13th-century female mystics.
St George’s 2025 retreat: Explore Other Ways to Pray

Pentecost
Pentecost (Whitsun) is Sunday 8 June. We meet at St George’s at 10:30 and walk to Evangelische Gemeinde Neu-Westend (Eichenallee 47, 14050 Berlin) for an Ecumenical Festival Service. After the service there is a bring-and-share-lunch (vegetarian if possible). Please wear something red!
Tomorrow is Ascension Day. There is a Eucharist in St George´s at 10.30.
NB: The two choirs will also be singing Evensong at the Marienkirche on Sunday, 1 June.
The combined forces of the two choirs will be singing a colourful programme of music. Also taking part are Louise Watts (soprano) and William Peart (organ/piano). The concert may be followed by a garden party. Admission free, retiring collection.

In November the Bishop will visit and we will celebrate 140 years of Anglican worship in Berlin – the first St George’s was opened for worship in November 1885 on Oranienburger Straße in Mitte (it was hit by World War Two bombing and demolished by the GDR in the post-war years).
75 years St George’s Preußenallee
There will be a Thanksgiving and Dedication Service on 25 May at 10:30. This month it is 75 years since St George’s was built – the foundation stone was laid in May 1950. We will mark this with a Service of Thanksgiving and Dedication.
