TFW one of your puzzle hunt puzzles from 2002 (the Marvellous Manorcon Musical Greengrocery) turns up in Taskmaster 24 years later, played on a bigger instrument than a recorder: youtube.com/watch?v=bOxc... @earwurm.bsky.social

I am out in London and have let my phone get down to 11% battery so I won’t be playing but good luck seekers… and good luck in all other regards of your trip, Dan
Mytello, based on the sample size of one (1) outgoing call to an Australian business last year.
Worryingly plausible
But we’re the future! We’re the pride!
Does every Development Corporation worth their salt have a similarly needless and overblown single? Admittedly it's not as high-concept, for what could match that, but here's my old manor's contribution to the genre:

I’ve been thinking about this. My fantasy casting is Susie Dent hosting, Gyles Brandreth & Sue Perkins as team captains. Low-budget BBC daytime filler, much like the short-lived Bob Holness reboot, but given that _Would I Lie To You?_ still does big numbers then I could see it getting commissioned.
(Easter) Eggs Eggs Eggs Eggs Eggs Eggs Eggs, as Lucid Labs would have said
Ohh I meant to tell you, there were plenty at half price going at the local big Sainsbury’s tonight. I thought this was something that happened in theory only but, no, in practice as well, which I don’t think I’ve seen before.
Less Mohammed bin Salman, more Dusty Bin Salman.
Ooh, exciting! Looking forward to reading more!
Apr 1st: new Indigo CEO Willie Walsh announces low-cost Irish subsidiary. "Let's run it back for the craic, lads."
Wuppertal is (points in probably the wrong direction) this way
Oh that’s cool! I was given a Stone as a gift back in the day. Didn’t stick with it for long, though.
Oh FFS. I am furious on Emerson's behalf, and once again offer a debt of gratitude to Emerson's former employer for being sane.
I understand 2014 was a particularly good vintage in the Sainsbury's region.
Now I want some Christmas pudding...

@untypicalboro.bsky.social My friend Catherine is so devoted to Middlesbrough FC that she calls her favourite pint mug en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyrex #convolutednichepun #comedythroughchemistry
I salute your professionalism. While I try to avoid potty mouth, a discovery of that would have made me turn the air blue enough to embarrass a particular drunken football crowd.
Dinorwig in particular and pumped storage in general are great ‘50s technologies with immense relevance to the current day. They may not be as quick to react as chemical batteries but are crucial for long term storage. See also the Coire Glas scheme under consideration.
I need a citation for this and cannot immediately find one but I believe the effect from fridges on the grid is immense in Brazil, even relative to normal levels of grid usage.
You'll notice from the chart in the Wikipedia article that this is less of a factor than it used to be, with hardly any very large pickups in the 2020s. These days pickups are driven by people getting a beer from the fridge which then cycles back on at least as much as they are from kettles.
I didn't watch it at the time but I've enjoyed going back and watching bits of it later. Every now and again they land on sutin really special.
VAR on this, I think you’re slightly closer to Gallions Reach than to Cyprus (but there’s not much in it and it wouldn’t have made a difference)
I saw a stopped Superloop bus in the photo you posted and that must be stopped at UEL Docklands Campus (Stop L)
Really looking for a nudge on this one
Are you north of Gallions Point Marina?
Are you within half a mile of the Docklands campus of the Univeristy of East London?
Does the name of your closest DLR station include the letter E?
Then I shall not.
Would you welcome it if I were to try to find you IRL within the hour, as opposed to it being creepy? Odds against that I will be able to but…
