It is weird how so many things keep getting worse and everyone is expected to keep sending emails and maintain "normal" levels of productivity.

The zero-days are numbered  | The Mozilla Blog Since February, the Firefox team has been working around the clock using frontier AI models to find and fix latent security vulnerabilities in the browser.

Mozilla just reported that Anthropic’s Mythos model identified 271 security vulnerabilities. It’s an incredible figure.

Yet Mozilla downplays this massive haul, claiming Mythos found nothing a human couldn't, despite making their code look like it had more holes than a block of Swiss cheese.

This is why I hate the West Wing (sorkin’s) as a model that has shaped a generation of political consultants’ idea of what aspirational Dem politics looks like

That show always sucked and it is validating to see how terribly it has aged.

Anthropic is testing only making Claude Code available in their $100/month or higher plans.

Another sign that we’re hitting the Uber moment for AI tools and everyone’s stopping subsidizing tokens.

With data center capacity at a premium, they don’t need to attract more users. It’s monetization time

Newly released records detail police response to lawmaker attacks Authorities first identified Vance Boelter as a suspect within three hours of the start of the politically motivated rampage.

Newly released records on the police response to the assassination of Melissa Hortman show officers knew a woman was lying motionless on the top of the stairs inside the Hortman home but waited 30 minutes to physically check on her.

The llm coding machines average all the shit they swallowed off the open Web. Pretty sure that means they're going to produce a ton more shitty poor performance react code all the time forever, because that's what has been produced for a decade.

I mean republicans understand very well that their unpopular policies will only be in place by pure partisan mechanisms

Reuters/Ipsos poll:

Just 36% of Americans approve of Trump's job performance

Only 26% said they consider Trump "even-tempered"

51% of Americans - including 14% of Republicans, 54% of independents and 85% of Democrats - said Trump's mental sharpness had gotten "worse" over the past year

As a student of history I thought this was fairly obvious but time and time again people seem to not understand this.

but the fact of the matter is that with the notable exception *of* the mid to late 20th century, every major change in our political system and government has been a partisan or ideological political project.

I want to scream from the top of the hill, we are run by dummies. If you feel imposter syndrome just know people running the top companies and businesses don’t know anything. And it is showing now.

If someone had said to me the sentence "NIMBY-ism will be the vanguard of anti-fascism and the Butlerian Jihad!" only two years ago, I would have suggested anti-psychotic medication.

How my team used AI today:
1. We review doc in meeting and I give feedback.
2. I offer to edit/rewrite.
3. I feed Claude the meeting notes and ask to rewrite doc based on my feedback.
4. I review then share it out.
5. Team member likes it and tells their Claude to use it as a template going forward.
