i highly think that if you're a popular content creator, then you DO owe some amount of behavioral control to your audience. you shouldn't outright censor yourself, but you should know who your audience is and aim to not act like a total fool on the internet, because that behavior is bound to spread
like it's obvious that these kids, usually like 11-15, look up to a specific creator because they adore the media. but as a result, they are exposed to genuinely nasty behavior from the creator and, most often by emotional immaturity because they're literally kids, start taking after the creator
randomly coming back but on this topic, i honestly feel so terrible for impressionable children in fandoms with very toxic and obviously unwell creators because these kids very often rub off of the creator's behavior and dont see how they're also acting out because of this influence. it's really sad
