Together, we are working to bring more affordable housing to downtown Vancouver, close to public transit, amenities, parks, schools and employment centres.

And at 450 Pacific Street, Entre Nous Femmes and Hogans Alley Society are building 91 new affordable homes for women-led households, seniors, those with disabilities, and Indigenous and Black communities.

At 95 Nelson Street, Brightside Homes is constructing 🏠 283 affordable homes, a👶44-space childcare centre and a new 🚒 New Firehall 8 on city land.

Friday was a fantastic day of groundbreakings, as councillors joined federal & provincial ministers, along with our non-profit partners at Brightside Community Homes Foundation, Entre Nous Femmes Housing Society and Hogan's Alley Society, to break ground on hundreds of new, affordable rental homes.

The False Creek Neighbourhood Energy Utility has completed a major expansion of its innovative sewage heat recovery system. This expansion supports a growing network which supplies low carbon heating to 47 buildings, representing over 10,000 residents, Emily Carr University, Creekside CC and more.

I’m concerned to hear about what these condo owners went through, and what appears to be a slow response from AirBNB. City staff and provincial officials are in touch with AirBNB to ensure any loopholes are closed and processes are being followed.
