This should be a good one - always nice to find a new plugin!

If you build plugins for JetBrains IDEs, open this before making another icon manually.
It collects practical icon generators for:
👉 IntelliJ-style letter icons
👉 icon modifiers
👉 badge composition for SVGs
Useful, specific, and easy to apply 👇

Many developers care deeply about IDE performance, so we turned an internal post by Konstantin Nisht into a public one. It covers the architecture behind UI freezes in IntelliJ-based IDEs, what it took to move more work off the UI thread, and the results so far.

I created a free plugin for JetBrains IDEs — get it now!
Got to IntelliJ IDEA 👉 ⚙️ Settings 👉 Plugin 👉 Search for "Sticky Project View"

Excited for this Thursday! 😬
@xoofx.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gy (create of Markdig, Scriban) joins us at 3pm UTC to talk about his latest project - XenoAtom.Terminal.UI. How he built a reactive, binding-first terminal UI framework, and what role AI takes in it.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll take it over with the team
By the way, if you haven't watched Small Prophets yet, do yourself a favour and get into it. Lovely stuff.
So some scaffolding for Spectre would be useful?
Yeah, the shebang was something we thought important too. Custom file templates might be interesting, but we’re not sure how frequently someone will reuse a whole file
That's an internal action to create a sample from the What's New page 😁 We are looking at smoothing the UX here, perhaps adding it to the right click of a solution folder. Where would you expect to see such an action? And what would you want to see in a template - I think it would be quite empty?
Use the Files view of the Solution Explorer to select a folder, then use the Generate action or right click Add, select File and enter the name of a C# file. This will give you an empty file, good to go

A finished Lego Star Wars AT-ST. It’s a big model with lots of details and looks cool
Imperial AT-ST LEGO minifigure. Nice helmet
Bag 14 and done. Such a cool build, quality minifigure too. My first Ultimate Collector Series set, and you can see why - it’s huge, and there are lots of great little details. Of all the licensed stuff, Lego and Star Wars are just made for each other. So satisfying.
The back of the cab of a Lego Star Wars AT-ST, showing nice patterns made of smooth Lego pieces. It’s very nearly finished
Bag 13. Back of its head. One last bag to go!
Even Jeff Goldblum’s sexy Ian Malcolm shot is a reference to Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam painting in the Sistine Chapel. Straight after the line “life found a way”. Spielberg had fun with this
Jurassic Park is on the telly. Cracking set pieces and VFX of course, but there are some really lovely setup shots too. Great camera movement and blocking
The cab of a Lego Star Wars AT-ST. Nearly finished! There’s a bright yellow piece on the side that will be used to mount a gun or something
Bag 12. That’s the cab nearly done! I do like that Lego throw in a few wacky colours for bits that you’ll never see once it’s finished
An in progress cab from a Lego Star Wars AT-ST. It looks like a face, with eye sockets and guns where the Jose would be
Bag 11. Yep, still going. We’ve got a face! And guns. Big guns.
Genuinely one of the coolest things I've ever seen a cultural venue post

New Key Promoter X release: 90,000 downloads in 8 days. 7.5M overall.
With all the AI coding hype, I didn’t expect this much demand for learning shortcuts. Turns out many of us are still writing code and want to get better at it.

Like. Come on. Science is cool, and scientists are cool
Watched The Life of Chuck last night. What a lovely, strange gem of a movie. Very much not what I was expecting, but it’s stayed with me. In hindsight, the last line of act three is a gut punch.

Nostalgic tooth ache.
A full disc image of Earth, as seen from the Orion Crew Module. The planet is a pale blue, swirling with white clouds and glowing slightly lighter blue in place from reflected light. At lower left, a large brown landmass is Africa, with Spain and Portugal with twinkling lights where the planet curves. At top right, auroras glow in a thin green glow, just barely separated from the planet's surface. Earth is set against the black of space (pic: NASA/R.Wiseman)
More context on this #Artemis II image:
* This is the night side, lit by moonlight. You can see city lights in Spain & Portugal, & a sliver of day at lower right
* The Sun is entirely behind Earth, which makes it a kind of solar eclipse, but w/ Earth doing the eclipsing instead of the Moon:
