Hi my name is Rafe, and I recently graduated college! I'm currently working to build my portfolio up so I can apply to some concept art internships/jobs later this year!

Fantasy character design of a Byzantine-inspired radio mercenary with a tuning fork sword.

This is a character from a Byzantine-Inspired post-apocalyptic fantasy world where magic comes from radios and sound. He is an ex-mercenary named Basil of Dirgehill who is on a quest of revenge to kill a wizard.

This was done as an assignment for Gabriel Z Quinn's Designing for Fantasy workshop.

After a month of overthinking and burnout, I finally finished a piece!
I'm workin on improving my anatomy and rendering skills, so drawing wizard pinups seems like the natural conclusion.

Meeting people is so hard when you are face blind, because I was literally thinking "I'll recognize this person from their pink shirt", forgetting that next time we meet, they'll likely be wearing something different. I need people to dress like a cartoon character if they want me to recognize them.
