Feels good taking a break from making YouTube content and just catching up on reading and other random stuff. I’m also taking the time to learn how to use Affinity to make my CY_BORG supplements look cool hehe

I'm enjoying my Learn & Play of Machine Gods of the Noxian Expanse by Blackoath Entertainment! Today we covered I think ALL the rules and I'm excited to begin Falla's (our Reclaimer) journey!
I think I want to create another PC though to assist her...
Interested in the rules?

i love using it!
One of my favorite ways to worldbuild is to go back in time and focus on my PC’s backstory. So, let’s rewind in CY.
This is Pt. 1 of Vac’s life 5 years ago, before she got tangled up with Nessa and SHADE. THIS HAS SOME WLW SPICE! Just a warning hehe 🤭

Ha, that's a GREAT way to differentiate between the 2! :D
I've seen a couple people say the same thing! I never actually explored the first edition. When I first started, I was just told to get 2e and I did... but I didn't even touch it til months later when solo ttrpgs FINALLY started to click for me 😅
Honestly, any tool by Wilona’s Cave is really good and simple! Moses has a ton!
I love @perplexingruins.bsky.social and their Solo Booklet. perplexingruinsshop.bigcartel.com/product/the-...
And there’s a nice free one, Juice Oracle thunder9861.itch.io/juice-oracle

3. You may feel pressure to “improvise” and that’s a skill that you develop over time. And honestly, you really gotta just go with your gut reaction or else you’ll constantly go back and forth. And THAT will disrupt your session.
- Using your intuition is PART of the game experience!
2. It may feel a bit too “crunchy,” especially with the chaos factor and random events. This could be a big mental overload.
- The cool thing about this tool though, is that you can SIMPLIFY it. There’s no “right” way! It’s such a powerful tool and there are many ways to craft scenes, etc.
1. There’s this heavy reliance on the process of interpretation. If you don’t know how to do that, you’ll have a hard time with understanding what the dice results mean.
- There’s no “correct” answer, but that’s what makes it FREEING. And yet, overwhelming.
I might have a “hot take”… I actually do NOT recommend using Mythic GME 2e if you are JUST starting out your solo TTRPG hobby…
Let me be CLEAR. I LOVE this tool and it is FANTASTIC… BUT. I will say it’s probably not beginner-friendly…?
Here are my thoughts…

Excited to check this out 🔥
This is a copy of witty’s game Mantis
After a last minute panic pivot to Staples, my solo journaling rpg Mantis is in hand! I’ll have a limited number of signed copies in hand at Braindead fantasy fest this weekend, and then they’ll be up on itch!
If you want a little play report example, watch my video! youtube.com/shorts/DCyJL...
For example, this is what I personally do...
1 Day > splitting into 3 segments... 1. Morning, 2. Noon, 3. Evening > then I roll to see what happens in each of those segments and perform any necessary checks/saves.

Give yourself one simple objective for your PC.
Write down words that will help remind you what happened.
Only use 1-2 supplements to help craft a scene or a random event.
Need an oracle? Just use a simple D6 for Yes/No questions. 1-3 is a No and 4-6 is a Yes.
Now... for structure:

Want to play a QUICK solo TTRPG session, but don't know how? - This is what I do! #solottrpg
Let's say you only have 15 minutes to play. To do this, you need to give yourself boundaries and a simple process/structure.
Here are a couple ideas for setting boundaries:

We saved Anvil's End!!! It turned into a skirmish-esque showdown! Check out how I like to solo little combat scenes like that in part 9 or Jory: The Undead Gunslinger! #solottrpg www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJ6W...
Burn out is so real! I’ve been kinda feeling it too, cool tho that you were able to whip out a chill or lighter system!
Been feeling a bit burned out this past week with life. To much all at once.
Decided to check out a chill solo innkeeping game. It was a lot better than I expected!
Ever played broken cask? How did it go?
