I think some people do and some don't. My mum lives regionally and got an EV at 75 and is all into the apps. I've just bought one with only 220km range because I'm optimistic charging infrastructure will grow. I'm sure you'll find your groove.

I feel like it's just an adaption and something people would get used to pretty quickly. As an EV owner, I feel a lot less hassled lately than the people I knew heading off for Easter trips not sure if the regional servos would have fuel or not. They said it was a constant nagging worry.

People who do not currently need to think ahead DO have to worry about their fuel supply and costs being in the control of Iran and Donny Trump, something EV owners don't have to worry about at all. Petrol was represented as completely hassle-free in the story.

E-bike rider dies after colliding with public bus in Perth's north-east A 50-year-old man dies at the scene after his e-bike is involved in a crash with a Transperth bus at an intersection in Swan View, with police appealing for witnesses.

Pretty intense victim blaming here

Just like when you discuss induction cooktops, suddenly every cooks daily with a wok…

Yeah gotta have that massive ford ranger that’s a nightmare in the supermarket car park and costs a fortune to run, all so you can have your fantasy bush holiday one day soon..

This might be a dumb question but why aren’t servos adding charging points? They love selling the snacks people buy when they stop.

Already got an electric mower! Just need to save up for heat pump hot water and induction cooktop and the gas will be gone.

I guess without the impatience there wasn’t much of story, just him driving a car for three day that’s cleaner and cheaper to fuel.

I just bought one of those little Byd Atto 1’s. Range is 220k. Fine in the city, and I think with a few stops country trips will be fine too. I’m lucky enough to have solar so charge at home free.

I saw a message from a uni student saying she tries to cruise along getting c’s which costs her opportunities but at least doesn’t lead to constant allegations of using AI

I thought it was strange to whine about time cost when it was a) one off 10 minutes to download an app and b) charging fully even though he had enough power to get home.

1 day ago 6 1 1 0

Yeah they have a few, will probably get more as leases end etc

1 day ago 2 0 0 0

Yeah it takes time but it’s time in the garage while I’m at work during the day (I take my two-wheeled EV to work)

1 day ago 1 0 1 0

Also saying, it took me an hour to charge (because he wanted to test the charging speed despite having enough power to get home) then complaining about the time taken is weird. Most EV drivers just top up as they need to.

1 day ago 0 0 1 0

the other big time issue was that he decided to charge to 100% despite having enough power left to go home.

I drove an EV for three days. It saved me money but cost me time With no end in sight to soaring fuel prices, 7.30 decided to take an EV for a test drive to see how far it could take our reporter, and if Australia's EV charging network stacks up.

Weirdly negative article. Seems to assume the number of chargers around Australia is fixed and won't increase with greater EV uptake. Dismissive of home solar charging. Also some of the time cost was...a one-off ten minutes to download an app?

Major Logue’s Diaries of Ellendal (1850-1900)
Transcribed and edited by Dr Nan Broad

These unique colonial diaries of Major Logue who settled Ellendale on the Greenough have been the object of much angst by the usual gang of whacked out literary(?) terrorists. The Guardian rag fulminated at length over the possibility of the omission of the code in which the author recorded the settler’s reactions to the attacks of the local tribes. These codes are fully detailed in facsimile. The records of these attacks are also being prepared for publication. The cannibal crimes and spearings are not publicised by the proto-revolutionary state funded researchers and publishers. To them only the White man is racist and reprehensible. That’s what the Bolsheviks said before committing the greatest mass murders of the 20th century. The serial crime families are solidly represented among the activists. Readers - You have been warned!
After many years of work these volumes will shortly be available in a very limited edition. Circulation will be at the copyright owner’s discretion and severely restricted. Inevitably there will be complaints about the availability, but the whiners are not paying the bills. Interested persons are requested to apply to the publisher for consideration of supply.

ISBN 978-1-923560-29-1, (2026, New), A4 in two volumes, french flap cover, illustrated, 1124 pages, 3kg, $360.00* Note – The price is merely a token of the costs of production. The diaries are published for the historical record. Postage will use the AP 5kg satchels. + POST

Labor under fire for confusing, condescending fuel-saving campaign The “every little bit helps” campaign launched on Monday, but was quickly labelled “patronising” by the opposition.

I dunno, I think the roof rack thing is good advice even without a fuel crisis. Guy I know who drives around with a kayak permanently strapped to his car has taken it off recently.

Just got back from Vietnam which was lovely of course but the temperature was 9C over the average for a lot of the trip, making what should have been a pleasant week in the high 20s close to 40 some days. Climate change sucks.
