Pickles are in nuoc cham, also used to dip, and the other sauce is peanut sauce. (This natural-ish peanut butter was oddly pale.)

Peanut sauce is: PB + nuoc cham + squeeze of lime + sugar + hot water; shake.

Nuoc cham is: sugar, water, fish sauce, vinegar, garlic, Thai chiles.

How I felt yesterday after disinfecting and deodorizing all the things in my snake's terrarium. "Oh, it's so sunny and warm! Great time to spray all the bits and put everything in direct sunlight for a few hours and take credit for the hard work while he eats!"

I posted a low effort pic of dinner last night because I wanted to make a bad pun, and it somehow escaped containment, and I’m VERY confused by this. The most popular skeet I’ve posted was a plate of spring rolls???

These were stuffed with rice noodles, shredded cabbage (forgot to get spring mix), cilantro, mint, do chua, cucumbers quick pickled in nuac cham, and lemongrass chicken. All flavors homemade. Same stuff in the bowl posted a couple nights ago.

The initial "buy-in" to stock a kitchen and pantry can be expensive, but then you just have all those items around, so the scales will eventually tip. Plus, think of how much healthier homemade food is!
