Today is Trans Day of Visibility. Trans, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming people have always been here — from the hijra of India to the Diné nádleehi to the leaders who built the modern LGBTQIA+ movement here in New York. Your existence is not up for debate. Your lives are not a political issue. We're fighting for a city where every trans New Yorker can live openly, safely, and with joy.
Pour one out for this absolute legend who passed away at age 21 today.
Paradise is SO BAD. I’ve never hate watched anything before, but I got sucked in by James Marsden and now I’m tuning in to see what nonsense they come up with week to week.
Loved Thomas’s bit in Girls5Eva though!
Apologies for being shallow, but I LOVE this haircut on you!
Truly the only cool thing that was assigned reading in high school for me.
MAX DOWMAN
This is art.
Ours was taught by a man named Butch. He had a bushy mustache, listened exclusively to the Howard Stern show, and frequently made us stop at Burger King to pick up food for him. 😑
An all timer.

Page 1 of handwritten letter. Transcript: "Hello, my name is Ariana V.V. im 14 years old and im from Honduras, ive been detained for 45 days and I have never felt so much fear to go to a place as I feel here everytime I remind myself that once I go back to Honduras a lot of dangerous things could happen to my mom and my younger siblings haven’t been able to see their mom in more than a month. They are very young and you need both of your parents when you are growing up. Since I got to this Center all you will feel is sadness and mostly depression. When people have their courts the longest they will last is 15 minutes, our rights are not being provided, arrest are happening when people don’t even have any type of order, arrests are happening illegally. Its sad to hear that peoples case are being denied and are getting send back to their country places where they are escaping from and are looking for protection and want to feel safe. Not a lot of people know what is happening in the Centers where immigrants are placed at. I haven’t been getting any school time. Every single person in here had their jobs they had their lifes, they aren’t any danger for this Country."
Page 2 of a child’s handwritten letter. Transcript: "Ive been in this country for almost 7 years and in those 7 years my mom and I found a home and made a bigger family. I have never been separated from my siblings and its honestly sad because they are little and they need their mom and sister, yeah they are with their dad but its still different for them and my mom and I. Since the day my mom and I get detained in Manhattan NY, my life was instanly paused, from my knowledge you can’t be under custody for more than 15 or 20 days, well here in Dilley Immigration Processing Center people have been in this place for 7 months, 5 months, 4-2 months, its not fair that the ICE officers are not following the laws. All kids are being damage mentally, they witness how the’ve been treated. They don’t have schools, doctor, all they have are nurses, if you need medical attention the longest you have to wait is 3 hours, but to get any medicine, pill, anything it takes a while, there are various viruses people are always sick. Serious situations happen and the officers can’t take them serious enough there are no consecuenses, they don’t care."

From 14-year-old Ariana V.V, whose U.S.-citizen siblings are 2 and 5 years old. Detained for 45+ days
I’m making a playlist for my sisters bf, and I’m literally sending a (poorly photoshopped) booklet as an accompaniment because I so miss making mix CDs.
The increasing number of billionaires in every new release of the Epstein files are another reminder that billionaires shouldn't exist because they're immoral, exploitative hoarders and the world would be better if we abolished every one of them.
Billionaires: the only minority destroying humanity.
YES News & Tributes is an all timer for me! So glad they put out that Christmas album this year to remind me. ❤️
I also suggest revisiting The Futureheads catalogue if it’s been awhile. High school me really got it right sometimes.
Why decline all these chances to defend feminism? Because to participate would be accepting the premise that our rights and humanity are up for debate in the first place.
Once you’ve conceded that it’s reasonable to ask whether women’s equality was a mistake, you’ve already lost.
Once you see it it becomes impossible not to notice the media consent-manufacutring machine that responds to literally every social crisis with the diagnosis that "women too free."
Other than the science free nature of it all, perhaps the least surprising part of the admin’s new claim is the onus it puts on pregnant women. Dying of fever? Deal with it. In severe pain? Deal with it. Child has autism? It’s because you were weak, and if you say it wasn’t, you’re a liar. We know.
"It's so confusing isn't it? So much going on, so much to say, and all of it happening so quickly.
The pace of oppression outstrips our ability to understand it and that is the real trick … It's easier to hide behind forty atrocities than a single incident."
I both love and hate it.

Calling peoples' employers in a rage because their tributes to Robert Redford weren't horny enough
RIGHT?! Can’t believe they didn’t think it through
tired of watching children die while waiting for old men to die
