With that if you are for, lack of a better word in my knowledge "passing", do you also take on the "privileges" assigned to your gender expression?

That to me is just a fascinating social concept to ruminate on. If anyone has articles, books, or other knowledge about these topics, I'm fascinated.

So that got me thinking back to a discussion I had where someone expressed that when you physically change to the ideas of "man" or "women" in this society, you also take on the social status of these gender expressions.

Should it really be that way? Does that matter?

I was just thinking about gender dynamics and how I couldn't tell this person's gender, but because I assumed they might be AFAB, I tried to give them space and didn't wanna get in their view of the TV.

Then I heard their voice and immediately shifted how caring I was.
