You make very good points. When I taught in college, I always tried to teach about being aware of your own thinking process. It was an entirely new concept for so many. It’s called meta-cognition. “Thinking about and analyzing your own thinking”. Helps to avoid biases and like you say delusions.

Anyone who rapes children and women (and I believe he did those things) could potentially do something like this fake assassination attempt. The fact that people died would not affect him in the least. It hurts my heart to know people died for this alleged skit. So many questions. So few answers.

I’m all for Trump elevating the fighting spirit of Sen Mark Kelly. Everyone needs to know he is a living legend of accomplishment. Trump is just really jealous.

We need to have laws saying you cannot use AI without attribution, citation. Just like plagiarism. We need to protect HUMANS from the earthquake of AI.

As long as it doesn’t affect them directly they don’t think about it. Their ability to plan for consequences and to have empathy for how their actions impact others is completely absent. Do not vote for Republicans. They are poor at governing psychologically healthy people.

His incompetence for COVID response messaging and actions directly killed hundreds of thousands of Americans and his anti-vax attitudes still killing people. His closure of USAid has killed thousands of international people. He continues his killing with this War and ICE camps. Awful legacy.

Going out on a limb but I think that unless something happens to remove him from office we will see that number go into the 20s or even teens. He is so undeniably bad and directly hurting/killing people with his regime.

Congratulations for helping their trajectory when they needed you. More people like you needed. It does take a village to raise good people.

They failed to understand basic social science concepts called “attitude change” and “demographics”. They based Texas redistricting on old assumptions. I predict Hispanics have been galvanized to unify and vote in a block AGAINST Rethuglicans. Nonvoting Hispanics will turn out in droves too.

It’s interesting that all the Republicans got together and had their legislatures do the state change. Dems presented the case to their voters. One is democratic …hey voters we need to deviate from fairness. The other is authoritarian…hey voters no choice we are doing redistricting.

Johnson conveniently forgot that Newsom warned Trump: if Republicans gerrymander Texas, California would fight fire with fire, and other states would follow.

So now that Republicans don’t like the taste of their own medicine, maybe they can finally get serious about a federal ban on gerrymandering.

As a society we really need to better understand how people come to believe weird things. I think one way is to use multiple credible sources for information and knowing what is and is not credible.
