I keep it for nostalgia. I listen to MP3s.

I'm not sure they realize that bluesky may be the biggest collection of trump-haters on the planet, there is even an account called @when-it-happens.bsky.social
when I am exhausted by the search results for simple questions that link to youtube videos or blogs, I give up and use an AI site. Which is bad for them as they don't get any ad revenue from it (yet).
this is why there is impeachment and the 25th amendment, but republicans would rather let trump start a nuclear war
if they did that, would any corporate media outlet cover it?
I resisted CDs up until the early 90s, then I came to my senses (of hearing). I kept my LP collection just for nostalgia (occasionally my gen z son will play one of them, I still love many of the songs, but hurts my ears.
every time you play a record, a tiny amount of vinyl is removed. one play is imperceptible, but the 1000s of times I played Wish You Were Here made them sound worse than AM radio. You do not need tube amps+vintage speakers, that is nonsense. the cheapest amps today sound like 70s state-of-the-art.
trump comes from no-brain land.
I don't blame the kids, like usual, I blame the corporate media always trying to sell something. Xers and older who think LPs are great, though, yeah, they're hipster doofuses.
are you being sarcastic, or have never heard an LP?
psst.. hey, don't buy a record player. the more you use it, the worse the music sounds. I had to stop using it years ago (even though I still have it) because it was destroying my music collection. The only good thing about vinyl was the sleeve art.
Maybe Ternus is smart enough to only take the job if he doesn't ever have to talk to trump.
I was going to say no, but W thought nobody could have foreseen that flooding when lots of scientists said it could happen, & everybody knew trump was capable of doing stupidest shit imaginable.
that's sarcasm, right?
they're projecting
shit, I left out non-white people, LQBTQ, poverty
Today we start month 16 of trump wars on:
trade (w/ now former allies)
immigrants & the citizens trying to protect them
reality
cognition
Iran
the global economy
rule of law
the constitution
any semblance of logic
the planet
competence
butthole republicans
even if the Dems have 52 or 53 senators, it won't be much of a fight. The GOP will roll over like they did with every completely unqualified cabinet nominee & enough Dem senators will say it's only right to let the president choose who he wants.
what is unique to Block that AI can allow them to eliminate 40% of their jobs that other large payment processing companies can't do? Are they the only company that has figured out how to use AI? no big corp employs people they do not need.
Nobody should accept corp CEO statements at face value.
he's the lobster in the pot of water that can't tell that it's boiling.
We are so screwed. At least it won't take a war with China to turn us into a 2nd rate economic power, just cognitively impaired GOP voters who can't see that the reps they voted for are co-conspirators with trump.
How will they get the ballots that a famous billionaire supporter of trump had thrown in the trash?
yeah, instead of "after" it should be "since"
He should use the same one that Hegseth used
trump voters know what they are getting when they vote for him, that's why they vote for him. . They don't need capitalists to influence him, often they vote against their own economic self-interest because they want his racism & hate.
in this context, "inexperienced" means "incompetent and mentally and ethically compromised"
this is a crime against mankind. It's up there with trump kneecapping renewables while embracing fossil fuels. It's not the meek inheriting the earth, it's the morons destroying it.
like trump is now the poster child (-molester) for dementia, vance is the poster boy for losers.
while Republicans are kissing trump's ass on social media (and TV)
I haven't been to every city in the US, but the only one where I would see bags of trash on the sidewalk at night/AM is NYC. I have lived in places where I bought the cans & where the trash cos provided bins. NY does need a lot, but I would bet it's still a small % of annual production.
