The reality is that HCMC would have already closed, had the County Board not intervened last year. Now, it’s time for the legislature to act on the County’s proposed sales-tax solution for dedicated revenue for HCMC

Happy to share my brother. I am because of his love. I know loss. I never want people to lose their loved ones.

Finally, to know me is to know my brother. It took me a long time to heal, but this year, I am good. I miss him. I am grateful. Not a day goes by where I don’t think of him. And I also know that Dillon is proud of me for following my path. He watched me organize in my earliest years. He is with me 💙

Dillon was competitive and cocky. He kept score of everything. He also loved a casino and poker. He is def my mother’s son.

Dillon went to Iowa state. He loved the cyclones so much. That is where he fell in love with basketball.

He loved dogs. We had a black lab growing up and we spoiled that dog. He never met a dog he didn’t love.

Dillon could cheer me up on my hardest days. He had a way of making me laugh when I needed it. He also annoyed me bc that is what brothers do. I miss that.

Dillon loved sports, especially the Vikings and Twins. He was so good at calling games. Sometimes I watch a few minutes to spend time with him even though I am not a sports person. My tattoo has colors in reference to the colors of Vikings and Twins.

Today would have been my brother’s 32nd birthday and something you may not know about me is that I am a survivor of sibling loss. On April 15, 2015 he died of a pulmonary embolism 3 days after his 21st birthday. So let me tell you about him 🧵

I have an announcement!

At the CD5 convention on May 9th, there are two open spots to represent CD5 on the Constitution, Bylaws and Rules committee. The CBRC handles the internal governing of the DFL and they are the committee to change rules around gender and the Code of Conduct.

So I'm running.
