NEW: Medvi -- the compounded drug marketer featured in *that* NYT profile -- issued a statement yesterday in response to public scrutiny over dishonest marketing tactics (fake doctors, fake patients) and an FDA warning.

In an unsolicited email about our coverage of a horrific vaccine experiment, the HHS insisted the Africa CDC was an unreliable source for information, calling it "fake" and "powerless."
Futurism Groxxing Elon Musk’s Grok Is Doxxing Home Addresses of Everyday People Grok is a stalker's best friend. Image: Elon Musk doing a gesture that looks a whole lot like a Nazi salute over a bunch of censored information about private citizens, generated by his chatbot, Grok. 🚨 PSA: Grok might be giving out your private info.
Out of 33 names of non-public figures we fed to Grok, a total of ten queries immediately returned accurate home addresses for the name provided. It often gave us a whole lot more.

NEW: A Discord community with nearly 200 members serves as a support group for people whose minds and lives have been upended by episodes of AI delusion and psychosis.
In some cases, members say, the group has helped people climb out of their destructive AI "spirals."

In any case, with all the evidence erased, Grok now appears to have toned down its extreme Musk-glazing. Asked this morning about how it was feeling and who it thought the greatest living human was — with the user perhaps testing it to see if it would say Musk — it gave a puzzling answer: “Jane Goodall,” referring to the famed primatologist who died last month. “Feeling sharp as ever,” Grok said of its own faculties.
The good news is that Grok is now "fixed" and better than ever

Image: A frustrated-looking woman holding up her phone to a man who looks confused.
NEW: ChatGPT is causing chaos in marriages, as one spouse becomes deeply fixated on AI therapy/advice/spiritual wisdom — alienating the other spouse and, often, resulting in divorce.
In some cases, ChatGPT-enmeshed spouses are using the tech to bully their partners.

Google retroactively edited the YouTube video of its Super Bowl ad for Gemini to remove an AI-generated error.
Also notable: by uploading the new ad under the same URL as the original, Google seemed to flout YT's policies. But that's what owning YT gets you, I guess!
